UAE To Host First I2U2 Business Forum Vice-Ministerial Meeting

  • The United Arab Emirates is set to host the first vice-ministerial meeting of the I2U2 in Abu Dhabi in coming days.
About I2U2
  • I2U2 is a joint initiative of India, Israel, the USA, and the UAE. I2 stands for Israel and India. U2 stands for USA and UAE.
  • The main objective of the initiative is security cooperation, technological hubs, food security, and other different energy fields.
  • The I2U2 was formed in October 2021 in the wake of the Abraham accords to majorly deal with issues concerning maritime security, infrastructure, and transport.
  • Its stated aim is to discuss “common areas of mutual interest, to strengthen the economic partnership in trade and investment in our respective regions and beyond”.
  • Six areas of cooperation have been identified by the countries mutually.
  • The aim is to encourage joint investments in -
  • Water,  Energy,  Transportation,  Space, Health, and Food security.
